ISOlogoISO

The Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification designation is for a family of standards related to quality management systems designed to help organizations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and stakeholders while also meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to the product. It is a symbol for a standard of excellence demonstrated by the business.

NTEPNTEP

The National Type Evaluation Program certifies scales as having approved status for sale into legal-for-trade applications. This certificate demonstrates that the manufacturer has met all applicable official requirements for commercial weighing and measuring equipment in the United States. The National Conference on Weights and Measures issues an NTEP Certificate of Conformance following successful completion of an evaluation of a device.

VCAPVCAP

The Verified Conformity Assessment Program is an organization administered by NTEP that audits NTEP-certified devices in order to ensure performance is periodically tested to their respective environmental requirements with the intent of providing a secondary level of assurance to manufacturers and customers that such devices perform to expectations accepted for NTEP Certification.

OIMLOIML

OIML certification represents a subset of conformity requirements related to the functionality of a product that have been met by the manufacturer and officially recognized by the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML). These requirements are compatible with other organizations such as the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in maintaining a standard of excellence and conformity.

CECE

CE Marketing stands for the French phrase “Conformité Européene” which means European Conformity. It is an official symbol of declaration that a product complies with all essential requirements relevant to European health, safety and environmental protection legislation. This means that the product may be legally sold and freely moved about in the EFTA and European Union.

ETLETL

ETL-listed is a standard of certification by Intertek who specializes in electrical product safety testing, EMC testing, and benchmark performance testing. ETL certified means that the product has demonstrated compliance with requirements and safety standards determined through testing. It is accepted throughout the U.S. and Canada.
